Climbing to just over 11,000 feet, Jack Creek is an easy off-road 4x4 climb into the Jack Creek Basin at the edge of the Never Summer Wilderness along the western edge of the Rocky Mountain National Park. The Jack Creek trailhead begins just outside of the Colorado ghost town, Teller City. This part of the state has an abundant moose population and crossing the path of one of these magnificent creatures is likely. During the fall season, autumn colors are vibrant from the plentiful aspen groves throughout the basin.
