Gorgeous wooded trail to a limestone tower. You can go inside and even climb to the top! We stayed at the fee campground in the park, clean and convenient.

Did this trail to get pictures at Clark tower with the kids - couple of steep hills but nothing required 4wd - it’s a maintained county road in a park

Roseman Bridge Road
Winterset, Iowa
A scenic maintained point-to-point road through cornfields to the Historic Roseman Covered Bridge. Watch your speed so you don't slide, and be aware of blind corners. There is no camping on this road.

Holliwell Bridge Road

An easy point-to-point drive through corn fields to the Historic Holliwell Covered Bridge. The name would sound familiar to anyone who saw the movie Bridges of Madison County. Holliwell is one of the bridges featured in the movie. The trail is maintained dirt. Watch for blind corners. There is no camping on this trail.

Clark Tower Road
Winterset, Iowa
Clark tower is a historical landmark built in 1926. This easy one-way gravel road loop is accessible by about any vehicle under 20 feet. There is a posted vehicle length limit. Clark Tower Road is located within Winterset City Park. The most challenging areas are a couple of steep inclines. No fee is required to enter this interesting park. There is no camping along this trail. A fee campground is located within the city park.
