South Pearl is a half loop on the west side of Pearl Beaver Road, providing an alternative and slightly rougher route through the area. It is easy dirt two-track most of the way with occasional small ruts and rocks and one small stream crossing. It passes through the pine, fir, and aspen forest typical of this area and spends most of the time in the trees with a few open areas here and there. There are several suitable dispersed campsites along the route.
