Overview

Upper Geneva Creek in Colorado presents a captivating adventure for off-roaders with its diverse terrain and scenic beauty. As you traverse the initial stretch of the trail, you'll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the valley and the meandering Geneva Creek. The area is generously sprinkled with idyllic camping spots that accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. As you venture further into the trail's second half, you'll have the opportunity to explore the Iron Fens, a rare and remarkable natural phenomenon exclusive to Colorado, with only eight known locations worldwide. Finally, you'll ascend to an elevation of over 11,000 feet, where the remnants of Geneva City stand as a testament to the mining past of this area. Amidst the relics at the end of the trail, you'll find an array of buildings and structures, including the ruins of the Sill Mine. This is an epic must-visit spot in Colorado where you can get your fill of scenery and fun history.
