The Yankee Hill Cutoff offers a less-traveled offroad experience when exploring the Yankee Hill Network of 4x4 trails west of Central City, Colorado. The Yankee Hill Network can get fairly crowded, and this short segment offers a tighter more forested trail with a few camping locations for those who prefer a more secluded experience. If you enjoy less-traveled, narrow, overgrown trails this is a great alternative to the main Yankee Hill Trail. This trail also provides an important connection to the Yankee Mosquito Alternate AKA Kingston Peak Cutoff Alternate which connects Yankee Hill to the Kingston Peak trail.
