Dinosaur Road is a short camping spur off Peach Valley Road that climbs to a ridgeline vehicle camping area on the edge of the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness. The road begins through dried mud hills with moderately deep crosscutting erosion ruts before climbing sharply toward the ridge. As the road gains elevation, the surface becomes rougher and rockier, with sharp, frying-pan-to-softball-sized rocks keeping the pace slow and the ride consistently rough. A high-clearance 4x4 with rugged off-road tires and low range is recommended. The end of the road offers two good-sized campsites with spectacular views down into the Gunnison Gorge and west toward Olathe.
