Located on the southern slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains and within the beautiful Juniper Flats desert area, Oak Springs Road's 4,500-foot altitude provides endless views to the west, with access to several hiking trails and intersecting BLM-designated roads to explore.
There are a few dispersed campsites along its length, offering a choice of single-vehicle campsites with views to the west or tucked next to the spectacular boulder formations that line the trail.
This is an easy trail requiring only a two-wheel drive vehicle, but with some clearance to handle the occasional embedded boulders and water-worn furrows across the road.
