Highlights

In the northern section of Anza Borrego sits one of the most historical and beautiful places in all of the state park. With everything from pictographs to abandoned cabins and lush green desert flora, there is no wonder why many consider Blair Valley the best stop in all of Anza Borrego. This location is popular with the overland, 4x4, hiking, and mountain biking crowd from which many come to this area to take in the beauty, explore the history, and enjoy some of the best camping Anza Borrego State Park has to offer.

I do love the views of this area. Just wish I could have it to myself. Big edit in progress, adding a ton of camping spots.

The last few miles are just rutted and ugly. Nothing hard at all, just really chewed up and crowded. Still a fun loop overall..

Blair Valley is great for a low-drama, scenic desert drive. Lots of campable spots spaced out from your neighbors and three great hikes to choose from: the Marshal South Home, the Morteros and the Pictographs. If your kids like climbing rocks, there's plenty to choose from. Easy drive for pretty much any vehicle, but some sandy sections and the occasional rocky or lightly rutted section favors Softroaders and above. I would love to come back here during a superbloom event.

A great stop to drive tamed roads and do amazing hikes to Petroglyphs, old Homestead on top of a mountain, and even holes in the ground used by the natives of the area. I always enjoy camping at Blair Valley as it's peaceful as heck and the deeper sites are always well spaced so you aren't anxious on people driving across your campsite or being woken up by jackasses driving at 3am. Always a swell home feeling to this place.

Great easy trail! Some spots where clearance helps, great camp spots too. Really easy.
