A lightly used US Forest Service Road in northern Colorado near the Wyoming border, Pratt Creek Road offers a peaceful voyage through the wooded Roosevelt National Forest. Because the area is remote, this part of the forest does not see many visitors and can be ideal for a weekend camping getaway. During early winter months, Pratt Creek is a snowy route that can challenge the best vehicles and drivers. By mid-winter, the road will be impassable due to snowfall. Pratt Creek and the nearby Dead Horse Mountain see hunting activity in the fall season as this area is rich with deer and elk.
