Trail Information

Highlights

Coffee Pot Road is a beautiful drive that takes you from Colorado River Road to the Flat Tops Wilderness of the White River National Forest. It's a long accent of over 4500 feet in elevation to the top with incredible views of the valley below and surrounding peaks. All though this is an easy road it can be quite an intimidating drive since a long part of this road is a shelf with no guard rails. Once you make it to the top there endless opportunities for adventure and fun, with seemingly endless 4x4 trails, tons of fishing holes, hiking trails, wildlife viewing, and some truly awesome camping environments. Coffee Pot Road is one of those drives you just can't find anywhere else.

2nd time using this trail as a connector to Blair Mountain and the Transfer Trail. It's long and has some traffic but the views are incredible, especially during leaf change. If you have the ability, air down, it'll make for a much more enjoyable drive. This trail has some deep corrugation.

This trail doesn't get enough positive attention. Epic views, great camping. Tons of wild life. Side trails could be slick so come prepared but it's just a incredibly pleasant drive. Took like 20 pics just couldn't help myself.

Lots of camping opportunities and spurs to adventure on. Some of the road is pretty wash-boarded but the majority of it is in good shape. I missed the peak fall colors by about a week or two but the views were still pretty good!

We used this to return fromn Transfer and White Owl Lake. Glad we were heading down for the Friday afternoon rush hour. Gorgeous scenery and lots of wide open space to explore and camp.
