A true hidden gem in the Gypsum Hills area, Middle Middle is an exciting new rock crawling trail that will push your modified rig to its limits. Although not newly created, the trail was officially recognized by the BLM as a legal route in 2016. This trail is unique to the Colorado portfolio of trails as it provides a number of different obstacles like large boulders, undercut ledges, and waterfall climbs all within a short mile. Located just east of Colorado's youngest volcano, The Dotsero Volcano, you are bound to come across large chunks of volcanic rock. This difficult, high clearance trail changes often with help from severe weather that constantly fills in or washes out ruts and moves boulders at will throughout the canyon. Flash flooding is a real concern on this trail, so be aware of the weather conditions.
37" Tires, a winch, and dual lockers are highly recommended for this trail
