Make your way through the White River National Forest, passing bountiful ranch lands, crossing ageless Aspen groves, and trekking the famous Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route (COBDR), while you follow the crystal clear waters of Gypsum Creek to its conception at LEDE Reservoir. This dirt road is a major trail along section 4 of the COBDR, which is a mostly off-road route across the entire state of Colorado from New Mexico to Wyoming. Gypsum Creek is a road for the adventure seeker and the outdoor enthusiast. The immediate area offers many hiking opportunities as well as plenty of remote camping options. Combining this road with others in the area will allow you to travel from the town of Gypsum to Sylvan State Park and even all the way to Leadville via remote dirt roads.
