Camaan Springs Road is located off Pingree Park Road in the Roosevelt National Forest. Parts of the trail are located in the High Park Fire burn area, which was a huge, naturally caused (lightning) fire in 2012 that burned over 87,000 acres. The burn areas are very visible from the trail, as there are massive swaths of completely charred land. This trail is great for year-round wheeling and camping if you are feeling the itch to get out, or if you are new to off-roading and want to start getting comfortable behind the wheel, as the trailhead is only about an hour from the base of Poudre Canyon. While driving along the trail, you can't help but gaze at the absolutely stunning scenic vistas; mountains with snowy peaks that touch the outskirts of the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park.
