Piney Guard Station is the destination of this trail. It's a small cabin well back in the woods. The trail passes through pine and aspen groves which are gorgeous during fall colors. The trail is always muddy in spots and can be very muddy if there's been recent rain. Even when dry, the trail is badly rutted. The MVUM shows the trail open a short way beyond the guard station, but our track ends at the cabin.
