Located only an hour east of Springfield, Cougar Crossing is the newest Jeep Badge of Honor trail to be designated within Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch. This stock-friendly trail is a great way to familiarize yourself with your vehicle's capabilities as you navigate the ever-changing contours of the ranch, winding and weaving through tight foliage and navigating a symphony of ascents and descents. Each hill conquered will become a testament to your adventurous spirit and leave you craving to experience more.
Cougar Crossing is a lollipop-shaped trail located in the southcentral part of Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch. The loop portion of the lolli-pop can be run in either direction, but counterclockwise will give you the most challenge as you attempt the steepest hills in the uphill direction. This trail offers no significant obstacles, and the largest rocks you will encounter will be smaller than a baseball. The terrain is mainly packed dirt and small chunky limestone, with several short and relatively steep ascents. This trail is primarily used as a connecting trail to and from more difficult trails such as Honkytonk, Larry's Hill, and Hillbilly Deluxe. However, Cougar Crossing by itself is suitable for any stock high clearance vehicle and any driver experience.
