Trail Information

Highlights

Switchback is one of the many trails in the 1,465 acres of Stony Lonesome OHV Park. This particular trail, located close to the park's entrance, is extremely steep and weaves its way through several switchbacks high above Dorsey Creek. No other trail within the park combines breathtaking views and technical challenges. This Jeep Badge of Honor trail lives up to the hype as it tests a driver's mental fortitude and a vehicle's mechanical abilities.

Amazing trail! Definitely worth a Badge of Honor. The first hill climb gets your heart pumping, and then you have 3 switchback turns to navigate. Don't forget to soak in the views on your way up!

Based on other reviews and videos I have seen, I think some recent maintenance was done on this trail. I had to use 4lo and the lockers, but overall it wasn't too difficult. I can definitely see why the staff says don't try it in the rain. The soil was slick from morning dew even when it hadn't rained in a week of more.
