Black Hills Backcountry Byway

A 21 mile historic route that will afford you the opportunity to learn the land's rich past, through kiosks and interpretive sites along the way. The byway is an access route for many kinds of recreation activities including multiple off-road driving prospects. There is fishing and boating on the Gila River, the Black Hills Rock-hound Area, hiking and even birding to be enjoyed in the region.
