670 Six Mile Trail is in the beautiful and diverse Boise National Forest. You'll have to decide if it's the surrounding forest of pines, firs, cedar, or quaking aspens, and maple trees that draws you to this trail. Or possibly one of the several established campsites throughout the trail. The two campsites at the trailhead and waters edge will be your favorite choices.
The trail parallels the Middle Fork of the Payette River for a couple of miles before the trail turns westward on its climb up the mountain. You enjoyed viewing this trail as you drove to this trailhead while on the Middle Fork Payette Trail. Whatever your reasons, you will come away from this trail with lasting memories of having a good time.
