Suppose you’re looking for more scenery near the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area but fewer people. In that case, this is an excellent off-the-beaten-path place to get rocks under your tires and views in your eyes. This short trail near Grand Junction, Colorado, is off the main drag of Black Upper Ridge Road and a quick 250-foot descent down the canyon wall. You are treated to the scenic views south towards the Palisade Wilderness on the way down, with a fun little offroad climb on the way out.
