Warden Gulch is one of the trails in the area that leads to that was once part of the mining district here. The mine is long tapped of gold and more and is now just unused, the path remains open for recreation. The trail is directly off of the Peru Creek trail and is popular to combine with Chihuahua Gulch (FS 263) for a full day of wheeling. You will climb up Morgan Peak towards the old Allan Emory Mine, last operated in 1950. While the trail ends well before the mine per the MVUM, the scenery available on this trail is well worth running as far as you can go. The climb is a fun off-road run and when you turn around, the scenery on the way down will make you want to stop for pictures.
