Richloam Wildlife Management Area spans 58,000 acres, crossing into Hernando, Pasco, Sumter, and Lake counties. Richloam is located in a swamp and is full of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and horseback riding! Swamps offer plenty of food and water for wildlife so visitors can expect to see various animals from deer, hogs, gators, birds, and plenty of insects. A.L. Norman Road is located in northwestern Richloam Wildlife Management Area. Located off the rather calm New River Road, A.L. Norman is a less civilized trail. Drivers can expect to weave through the forest while dodging tree branches trying to reclaim the trail. A.L. Norman Road has a few shallow water and mud crossings. A.L. Norman changes scenery from open clearings with vibrant vegetation to pitch-black water crossings.
