Trail Information

Highlights

Rule Ridge Road combes light off-roading with magnificent forests and landscapes. As it winds along a ridge, panoramic views of towering mountains and valleys unfold, including the grandeur of Pikes Peak and the South Platte River. The trail offers a particularly stunning spectacle during Fall when aspens growing in the visible Hayman burn area explode into vibrant colors. The trail's allure doesn't stop at its vistas. It also presents a mild wheeling adventure with steep sections and rocky spots and the opportunity to spot local wildlife like deer and elk. Rule Ridge is ideal for those seeking a less crowded, visually stunning off-roading experience in Colorado.

Traveled north from WP14 to WP6. Nice easy trail with good views. Not much for traffic.

Ran the road to get all new pictures and add a few waypoints to add to the writeup. The trail is in decent shape and the rains this year don't seem to have done as much damage to this trail as others in the area.

Ran this trail along with a group of other trails both easy and moderate in the area totaling about 50 miles. There was a fair amount of Razor, Quad and motorcycle traffic that got busier throughout the day. Had a blast splashing through the mud puddles and driving the tight turns on the moderate trails. I will be back out to this area again to hit the many other trails in the area.

Nice day to be out on the trails, a little bit of snow but everything has been well traveled and no issues.
