Highlights

Highlight: Goethe - Woodpecker Road
Goethe State Forest is located in central Florida and spans almost 54,000 acres. Exploring Goethe State Forest can be done in many ways, such as hiking, bicycling, horseback, and street-legal vehicles. Goethe State Forest is great for anyone looking to hunt, fish, camp, and watch wildlife. Woodpecker Road is located in central Goethe State Forest. The trail has been closed or abandoned for a while and recently received maintenance and was reopened. Due to being freshly maintained, Woodpecker Road has a great offroad and secluded feeling to it when your vehicle's tires are only touching sand and grass. There are plenty of dips that will collect water during wet seasons, so be prepared to use 4WD!
