Highlight: Goethe - Sand Ridge Road
Goethe State Forest is located in central Florida and spans almost 54,000 acres. Exploring Goethe State Forest can be done in many ways, such as hiking, bicycling, horseback, and street-legal vehicles. Goethe State Forest is great for anyone looking to hunt, fish, camp, and watch wildlife. Sand Ridge Road is located in central Goethe State Forest. The trail is well-maintained and takes visitors through dense forest and cleared out pastures. Sand Ridge Road has an abandoned feeling to it as the trail is surrounded by prescribed burns that occurred long ago. Trees still have black, charred bark from fires however, the trees are surrounded by waist-high, bright green vegetation!
