Trail Information

Highlights

Goethe State Forest is located in central Florida and spans almost 54,000 acres. Exploring Goethe State Forest can be done in many ways, such as hiking, bicycling, horseback, and street-legal vehicles. Goethe State Forest is great for anyone looking to hunt, fish, camp, and watch wildlife. Road 7 is located in central Goethe State Forest and takes visitors to the west border. Road 7 and Road 2 make up the Dewitt T. Watson Loop. Trail 7 will take visitors through various scenic areas such as open clearings from logging, highly dense vegetation sections, and areas where prescribed burns charred trees, but now lush green vegetation has grown back. Road 7 will also have shallow water crossings with gravel footing so drivers won't have to worry about mudholes!

Great trail with nothing around but nature. I went a day or two after rain and if its wet you can definitely get into spots where 4wd could be needed. No lift or oversized tired needed but 4wd a plus during rainy season.

Road 7 will be fun during wet seasons when splashing through the shallow water crossings. It is also out of the way trail so not many other vehicles were spotted on it.
