Trail Information

Highlights

Ocala National Forest is one of three National Forests in Florida. Spanning 385,000 acres, Ocala is the second largest National Forest in Florida. Exploring Ocala National Forest can be done in many ways such as hiking, boating, horseback, OHV, ATV, and street-legal vehicles. Ocala National Forest is great for anyone looking to hunt, camp, watch wildlife, visit a shooting range, or even see the Naval Bombing Range! FR41 is a trail that runs north and south to connect National Forest Road 66 and National Forest Road 29. FR41 will weave through the forest where drivers will have to keep momentum going to prevent getting bogged in Florida sugar sand. Mild hill climbs and actually needing 4WD to safely drive on FR41 makes the trail fun and interesting! Vegetation is attempting to reclaim FR41 and closed up buildings give FR41 an eerie atmosphere.

FR41 is a fun trail weaving through the forest. Plenty of deep sand so 4WD is highly recommended.
