When traveling through the beautiful state of Colorado, you're pretty limited on the ways to get from point A to B. The mountain highways get cluttered with traffic on weekends and you really can't enjoy the scenery along the way. The Delores to Norwood historic route is a wonderful way to get off the pavement and enjoy a scenic drive through a very lightly traveled area of southwest Colorado. There are plenty of opportunities to take a side trail to explore some of the more difficult trails in the area or you can choose to relax at one of the many free campsites along the way.
