Trail Information

Highlights

Long Bluff Road is part of Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, which is located on the east side of Florida about 20 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean! Tosohatchee WMA is almost 31,000 acres and offers camping, fishing, and part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail! Being so close to the Atlantic Ocean means Tosohatchee is mainly swampland but still about 100' above sea-level. Long Bluff Road is surrounded by water and various lush green vegetation. Being located in a swamp, drivers can expect shallow water crossings and see alligators sunning themselves on the road! The cleared swamp areas make it appear that the sky and ground intersect. Long Bluff Road also has multiple parking areas for hikers to park their vehicle and explore on foot.

As a beginning Trail Rider, this trail was a blast!!! Water puddles--that do not require a modified vehicle pass--small hills, shade, hiking trails. This trail is very wide so there is minimal risk to your vehicle. Took approximately 45 minutes to complete the loop.

Long Bluff Road is a very basic trail with not much to see. There will be multiple water holes and some mud but no obstacles or other challenges for off-roaders. If you visit Tosohatchee WMA you might as well explore Long Bluff Road. Lots of parking areas for hikers and sightseers.
