Highlight: Inscription Canyon via Black Canyon Road
Inscription Canyon is a very interesting place to visit. It is a short canyon, about 100 yards long, where vehicles are not allowed. When you arrive, just park and walk into the Canyon to see one of the world's largest collections of Native American petroglyphs and pictographs. The band of Native American that is believed to have created these etchings is named the Kawaiisu. They lived in the nearby Tehachapi Mountains and the central Mojave Desert, where Black Canyon is located.
