Smock Road is a scenic way to access the Barlow Trail
further to the west. The road winds through farm and ranch country, through a creek bottom choked with scrub oak, and across a prairie. When you reach the end of Smock Road, continue on along the Barlow Trail to retrace the wagon ruts of the pioneers on the way to the Willamette Valley during the days of the Oregon Trail.
