I found this park to be pretty easy to navigate. The office provides a good map included with your entry fee (not additional like many other parks out there) and most of the trail are pretty well marked. I don't think the difficulties on their map have been updated in a long time, because they felt very inconsistent. Hard packed roads were rated as 3s in some places, and mud bogs were rated as 1s. Then you hade some 5s that were doable in a mild build, and other 5s that were insane buggy trails. That's my only complaint. But otherwise, there are very good facilities at this park, and the variety of trails and variety of difficulties is far better than any other park I know of in texas.

Had a great time with Texas A&M Offroad at the park! A wide variety of trails to choose from, and plenty of bypasses for obstacles that you don't think you can handle. Handled plenty of the Level 4 Difficulty trails with 35s and a 2.5 in lift on my Wrangler Sport. Used the rock sliders a few times, but anywhere I did was optional, and a bypass was available. Anything stock would most likely be able to handle 3s and under, and the Level 4's on special occasion. Nice camping area, with a very convenient store with ice and amenities and food truck on the premises. The bathrooms and showers are pretty clean and nice! I slept in the hammock between a tree and my Jeep, with plenty of space for everyone in the organization. Highly recommend checking it out!

Fun place. Meet some amazing people there and wheeled with them. I would stop there on the way back for sure.

I *just* got my Jeep, a brand new 2019 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I haven't even had it a week. It's totally stock - and I'll repeat, it's not a Rubicon. No lift, no winch (unless my wife counts? Oh no, that's spelled "wench". I really hope she doesn't read this.) In summary, I have no idea what I'm doing. We had a great time here. We were out there for five hours. There was a light rainstorm. I was aware of my limitations and if I got down a trail that was potentially too rough, I was able to turn around, but I only had to do that a couple of times. I stayed on the trails with one or two diamonds, which comprises about maybe 10% of the trails. I did the hog trail, and tried "Boss Hog" but about halfway down there were some big drops and I wasn't sure I could clear them, so I went back. The rain allowed me to get a nice coat of mud on my Jeep, which of course makes it look better (nobody likes a clean Jeep, am I right?). I can't wait to start modding the Jeep so we can come back and do more. My point in writing this, though, is to point out that you can have a lot of fun here with no experience and no special equipment other than a stock Jeep.
