Mud Springs Road is an off-road trail that is a relaxing drive through a Joshua Tree forest with views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. As you continue on the trail and begin to increase in elevation, the Joshua Trees will begin to merge with the evergreen trees. This 4x4 trail offers multiple small campsites and a larger site at the end. This is a great trail to escape the heat of Las Vegas during the summer that is off the beaten path.

From Las Vegas, head north on US-95 North for approximately 35 miles. Turn left/southwest on Cold Creek Road. Continue on Cold Creek Road for approximately 9 miles. Turn left/south on Mud Springs Road.
1999 F-150, 4x4, 6.5 bed. nice trail with lots of trees. Moderate snow coverage with medium road icing. I could see how this road could easily ice completely over in winter. Two separate places with exposed rock shelf’s of up to 12 inches but easily passed with 4wheel engaged. Wouldn’t recommend without high clearance and either 4x4 or rear lockers. Shelf’s are easily passed by picking a good line.
