Trail Information

Highlights

Lusardi Truck Trail is a great in and out trail that packs a lot of different scenery in a short amount of time. It is an easy drive for most stock trucks and there are lots of places to pass. There are few obstacles to navigate since it appears that the forestry department keeps this trail clear and graded.

This is a fun trail to run near Ramona. Glad it is open again and has some beautiful spots on it. Found a giant black tarantula at the end of the road, with lots of spots to pull out for camping along the way. A little harder due to the rutting and washout of the road, but a solid 45 minute (each way)/90 min (round trip) trail if you have a 4x4 rig with good tires and clearance.

So happy to find the trail open and get to do a quick run up part of it. Didn't do the whole thing this time, but will be back again to finish it off to test my new suspension. Narrow but fun little trail that takes you up the sides of the hills.

ran it again today, bugs are a nightmare. even with bug spray, they keep swarming you. i didn’t mention in other reviews last week as it had just rained and bugs tend to be worse afterwards but i guess this is just because summer is here. it’s the same with the other two ramona trails. Bring BUG SPRAY. 😂

open i had fun doing this one again. beware of PINSTRIPPING — the plants are beautiful but overgrown. they definitely encroach onto the narrow trail.
