Difficulty Accuracy: Spot On

Trail 22 is a good trail to get semi newbies out there to see what they are capable of doing. Start small, then work up to bigger and harder trails. Trail 22 has had alot of maintenance done by the park. It's actually tame compared to other blue trails. Highly recommend going up the trail vice coming down. The trailhead is directly behind the General Store.

Trail 22 is a popular trail at Windrock. It's fairly easy and leads to quite a few other trails, so it sees a lot of traffic. This means that it gets seriously rutted after large amounts of rain. It does get a lot of maintenance so it gets graded pretty frequently. But if you catch it when really wet, the difficulty level increases pretty dramatically.

After a full week of rain the trail proved too muddy for me.

I did not drive the entire Trail 22. We shot off onto another more difficult trail. Trail 22 is a nice fairly easy trail for slightly modified vehicles. The Switch backs are fun to navigate and give you some very nice views. There are some spots that are getting rutted out from the UTVs and could be difficult in a stock truck.
