Joe May Road is located in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge that ends in a nice camping area with great views of the desert valley and mountains surrounding the area. Joe May Road is short drive on Alamo Road http://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/988-alamo-road. This is a nice easy drive to a perfect campsite for watching the beautiful sunsets. This site is a great base for hiking in the surrounding hills. This would be a great base camp while exploring Alamo Road and the other trails in the area.
