Highlights

Indian Truck Trail is a great overland connector route that all off-road enthusiast can travel along. The trail takes you from the Corona area of the I15 to 3S04 - Main Divide Southern from at which point it is only a short 15 minute drive to the peak of Saddleback Mountain. Along the route, the trail provides many stunning views and some of the only forest left on the mountain. Whether it is a evening cruise to watch the sunset or a breakfast 4x4 trip to go to Tom's Farm, you will find yourself at ease on Indian Truck Trail.

Starting Point

Corona, CA

North End: Take the Indian Truck Trail exit from the 15 Freeway. Turn left (south) off of Del Ammo Blvd and a immediate right (west) onto Santiago Canyon Road. Once on Santiago Canyon Road, take the 4th left which is Indian Truck Trail. As you head up the dirt road, stay to the right unless you are going to church. Continue straight at the 4-way stop to the trailhead. . South End: From the top of Saddleback, take 3S04 - Main Divide south roughly 6 miles to where you pass a set of gates. The trail is on the north.

Went out there today. Looked like it was going to be open but a little ways in and there was a gate. Very dissappointing. The rec.gov site lists some closures but this one was supposed to be open. :(

Gate was halfway shut, but wasn’t locked so we just pushed it open and went on through! Fun little simple trail. Nice and calm. The side towards Santiago Peak is locked and closed, but we just went up and down.

Took this trail just for a quick test to see were my truck is currently, and to see what upgrades I need ASAP for summer. Was a pretty fun trial, had some cool picture spots and some nice views. There was a pretty creepy retreat in the begging that seemed a little SUS but it was fun. It was raining pretty hard on Sunday so there was lots of mud! My 2WD 2016 Tundra made easy work of it for the most part. Did get stuck on a few parts and had to break out some recovery gear once. All in all it was fun though, always a good time playing in the mud. P.S. There is a sign in the begging that says it is closed because a shed that burned or something? But I went for it anyway and it was open all the way! -Cheers! Happy Exploring!

My geocaching buddy and I hunted for BenchMarks today (surveyor disks), with less than our usual 50% success rate. I'll blame it on the heat and humidity, plus location descriptions written in 1935 with SCALED coordinates (+/- error of 600 feet). Besides this trail, we ran the Main Divide and Bedford Road for a total of 30 miles and 5 hours. 2wd capable but very rough in spots with a 10mph max speed.

Joshua Noesser grew up in Southern California but has lived in different parts of the country during his young adult life. Josh was first turned to four wheeling when he road with one of his friends dad up Surprise Canyon in the Panamint Valley at age14. After nearly 3 different roll overs later and a half dozen intense waterfalls, Josh was hooked. At 16 he purchased his first Jeep a CJ 7 and by 17 was putting his first locker in it. Currently, Josh is the owner and CEO of Nybble, an IT Solutions Company based in Orange County, California. Nybble isn't your normal IT company where everyone stays in and plays video games. Nybble's average company trip is out on the trails since a good amount of his staff enjoy wheeling too. As Josh likes to say, he offers the only IT Company with the ability to provide services in extreme locations. "If you want a server at the top of The Hammers, we will take care of that for you." Today you can find Josh out on the trail behind the wheel in one of his three different off-road vehicles. See the vehicles below for more information.
