Key West Mine trail is used to access the old mine site and to connect Bunkerville Loop to the Gold Butte Byway. The trail is an easy dirt and rock two-track that can be completed in 2wd with high clearance. To avoid punctures on the sharp rocks in the area, you will need durable off-road tires to travel off the pavement. Camping was not found along the route, but you can camp at the mine site, where there is plenty of flat ground, or cruise down to Fisherman's Cove to sleep along the Virgin River. Key West Mine was first started in 1965 and closed in 1999. Its main ores were rare elements like kotulskite and glaukosphaerite.
