Lost Run Road is a well-maintained, quaint road that runs mostly through the Quehanna Wild Area. This road has two water crossings with bridges, one over Mosquito Creek and one over Gifford Run. Both are beautiful photo opportunities. This route does connect with the Quehanna Trail (hiking), and you will pass official kiosk signage with information on the trail's history.
It is important to note that since this road runs through a Wild Area with the following restrictions:
1. Licensed motor vehicles ONLY
2. Vehicle camping is strictly prohibited (pickup campers, trailers, etc.)
3. Snowmobiles, trail bikes, and off-road vehicles (ATV/UTV/SxS) are prohibited
4. Primitive backpack camping is permitted
There is one dispersed campsite on the road that falls outside of the prohibited wild area. The campsite is at the southern end, just before Caledonia Pike.
