Powley Road is located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, just north of the small town of Stratford, New York. This mostly graded gravel road runs through the Ferris Lake Wild Forest managed by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. This agency manages a number of designated dispersed campsites throughout the Adirondacks, 18 of which are located along Powley Road. The campsites are rugged, sized for one or two vehicles, and have a fire ring, picnic table, and a privy. 17 of the 18 campsites on Powley Road can accommodate a vehicle with a rooftop tent or similar.
