Hero: South Spring Valley Road
small-sr Icon

South Spring Valley Road is a graded dirt road connecting Osceola Road and Highway 50 to Shoshone Road. The surface is gravelly with scattered small rocks and some embedded cobble, often developing rough washboard from frequent use, delivering a bumpy ride in spots while remaining suitable for all vehicles under normal dry conditions. It crosses open high-desert terrain thick with low sagebrush, providing views of Mt. Wheeler and the Snake Mountain Range, plus access to mining history, Willard Creek, numerous spur trails, and occasional year-round creeks in the drainages.

There are no dispersed or suitable sites along the trail. Camping is available along Willard Creek Road, with many dispersed sites in the junipers and two sites right along Willard Creek that offer shade and running water.
