Jackpot Little Goose Road is a well-maintained one to two-lane gravel road running from Goose Creek Road to Highway 93 just south of Jackpot, Nevada. It is an easy drive with no significant hazards other than dust, and is suitable for any vehicle with moderate ground clearance. There is one water crossing at Indian Mike Creek that is about 10 inches deep and has a firm gravel bottom. The road traverses high desert country for its entire length, offering nearly continuous, expansive views of the rolling desert and surrounding mountains. The contrasting colors of the sagebrush, rabbitbrush, bitterbrush, the occasional juniper tree, and the dry grass patches are a delightful feast for the eyes.
Dispersed camping is permitted on public lands along the route, and numerous large, open areas adjacent to the road provide suitable locations for setting up a camp. Only one such area had an existing fire ring, which is not a bad thing since, unless there is snow on the ground, fires in the high desert are generally not a good idea.
