Divide Road 614 is an easily accessible dirt road that runs between I-90 (via the 4th of July Pass Exit 28) and Thompson Lake near Harrison, ID. This road is passable in a 2wd vehicle and can be managed by those towing small to medium-sized camp trailers.
The road twists through canopies of dense cedars and firs while also occasionally opening up into more exposed sections of forest that are recovering from fires of the not-too-distant past. To the east, you're frequently treated to views of the Idaho Panhandle Chain Lakes as you meander along the lush mountainsides of the Idaho Panhandle National Forest.
Dispersed camping is available at many spots along the road - from wide open flat turnouts at most saddles and intersections to several short spurs that take you to more private wooded sites along the way.
