House Creek Road, also known as 17 Mile Road, is a major gravel road running from Three Creek Road in the south towards Roseworth in the north. Shortly before Roseworth, the road becomes paved and is not part of the Route. The road is very well maintained, with the primary hazard being driving imprudently fast for a gravel road. Although dispersed camping is allowed along the public sections of House Creek Road, there are no established dispersed sites. The nearest campgrounds are at Balanced Rock Park and Salmon Falls Dam.
This road travels through high-quality sagebrush steppe and offers nice views of distant mountains.
