Grassy Hills Road

Grassy Hills Road is an extension of Kinyon Road in the north and runs down to House Creek Road in the south. It is an easy drive on a one to two-lane gravel road suitable for any vehicle. There are a few sections of moderate washboards. Several side trails lead into the desert, ripe for further exploration in an appropriate vehicle. Although dispersed camping is allowed along the public sections of Grassy Hills Road, there are no established dispersed sites. The nearest campground is at Salmon Falls Dam.

As one travels south toward the mountains, the views become more scenic, especially when the sun glints off the snow. The road traverses a combination of sagebrush steppe and grasslands, each with its own unique scenic beauty.
