Located under an hour southwest of Boise, Whiskey Hill Road is a short but scenic drive that offers some fantastic views of the surrounding rolling hills, which transition into the rugged Owyhee Mountains.
This dirt road has potholes and some rough patches, but overall, it’s an easy route, and any high-clearance vehicle can navigate it. There aren’t any campsites along the trail, but dispersed camping is available if you can find an offshoot, of which there are many, as this trail is part of an extensive trail network that leads to the historic mining town of Silver City.
The trail ends at a locked gate on private property at the southern end.
