Sloans Gulch, also known as Lester Creek, is a short but remarkable drive through the Boise National Forest. It offers epic views of Anderson Ranch Reservoir and the nearby Trinity Mountains to the north.
On the west end of the trail is Ice Springs Campground, a developed campground with vaulted toilets, with each campsite equipped with its own picnic table and fire ring. The east end of the trail ends in the quaint town of Pine. There is also a campground located just south of Pine, near the lake, called Pine Campground, which has a boat ramp.
This is a well-maintained, wide two-lane dirt road open year-round and suitable for any vehicle.
