Goethe State Forest is great for anyone looking to hunt, fish, camp, and watch wildlife. Saddlepen Road is located on the southeast side of Goethe State Forest. Saddlepen Road hosts Tidewater Trailhead, which is the only campground in Goethe. Saddlepen Road also connects to almost 40 miles of hiking and horseback trails. Horses and dogs are allowed. However, dogs must be leashed at all times.
