The Huron Peak and Lake Ann Trail take you from the mining town of Winfield to the Huron Summit Trail and the Lake Ann hiking trail. The road surface is dirt and rocks but is suitable for a stock 4x4 vehicle. The trail is just over 2 miles in length. It climbs and falls through thick timber before passing through several open areas and reaching the parking lot. There are several legal campsites along the route, but be sure to stay away from the closed sites, which are signed. It's a short out and back trip, but the views and the access to additional recreation make this trail a fun side trip,
