Throughout its 26 miles of gorgeous Arkansas scenery, the Winona Auto Tour offers numerous places to set up camp and unwind. The marvelous views from the overlooks and vistas are abundant and make for a truly relaxing drive through the mountains of the Ouachita National Forest. On this trek, you will venture across several of the mountain ridges in the Winona area: Oak, Wildcat, and Crystal Mountains just to name a few and there are several others with astounding landscape and beautiful forest canopy. There are plenty of neighboring roads and trails that branch off into other parts of the forest and it's not uncommon for people to spend an entire weekend exploring and enjoying nature around the Winona and Flat Side Wilderness areas.
