This short, hard-packed dirt trail provides quick access to an elevated viewpoint overlooking Apache Lake. Primarily used to access powerlines, the route is straightforward but does include a few short, steep climbs that may require low range in certain conditions.
As you approach the end of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with views of the lake and surrounding desert terrain. Keep in mind that the powerline infrastructure is part of the view from the overlook. The trail terminates at a small turnaround area with space for just one to two vehicles, making it best suited for short visits rather than extended stops.
There are no designated camping areas along this trail, and its primary purpose remains utility access.
